Panthers just put out word that fifth-round G Duke Robinson had officially signed, after he agreed to terms last week.
They had an open roster spot, so they didn't need to cut anyone else today. They'll have to pare three more from the list when they get Everette Brown, Sherrod Martin and Corvey Irvin.

I still expect that this week, but there shouldn't be any late-night drama or Motel 6 stays for this year's draft class.
-- Some folks keep asking, and from the sounds of things, the Panthers are going to go into camp with what they've got. There are a few veteran names that they've talked about this offseason, but now those guys seem to be injury replacements, rather than anyone they want to make a move on at the moment.
There are some odds and ends veteran offensive linemen who could help out, but the one guy I think could help is DT Dewayne Robertson. His knees are suspect, but he's been a good interior rusher when well, and that's what the Panthers need the most. Could he help in a 15-20 snap per game role? Sure. Is he ready for that? Not sure, (as John Fox would say) since I'm not a doctor.
While starter Damione Lewis is just fine, there's nothing they can bank on behind him. Lord help them if either of the starting DTs get hurt, because the backups are shaky at best.
Not sold that Nick Hayden's going to make the 53 this year, and third-rounder Irvin's going to have to flash in camp to justify a spot on the game-day 45. For all the talk about other spots, this might be the Panthers biggest problem heading into camp.
In fact, their best bet as the backup under tackle is probably DE Tyler Brayton, who'll kick inside on passing downs anyway. That would likely make Charles Johnson a starter at LDE, which is justified.
