The Panthers have been going full-pads since breaking camp, and generally getting better work in this week than they did down the stretch in Spartanburg.
So with a long week before their next preseason game (Saturday against Washington), coach John Fox told his players they were getting Tuesday off.
It puts them on a nearly normal regular season schedule, though they'll still come in for meetings tomorrow morning.
They could also use the break to get well. They've gotten back to 20 of their 22 starters on the field (WR Muhsin Muhammad and SS Chris Harris are the lone holdouts). It looks like TE Gary Barnidge (gluteal strain, write your own punchline) is closer to getting back, though it's impossible to gauge where WR D.J. Hackett stands.
