The Panthers reached an injury settlement with DT Ian Scott Wednesday. It was going to be some time before he was well anyway, and this gives them the option to re-sign him later this year.
Scott sprained the MCL in his left knee during camp, and said last week he still wasn't able to pedal a bike a full revolution yet. He's had problems with his left knee throughout his career, so they decided not to wait any longer.
They filled the roster spot by signing WR Sean Bailey from Georgia.
