Ran into Panthers GM Marty Hurneyon the way into the press box, and asked him about RG Keydrick Vincent, who was placed on IR yesterday because of a groin injury. Hurney said the injury was on the left side, the opposite of what Vincent struggled with in 2005 and 2006.
Not sure if Vincent will need surgery to correct this one, but the bottom line is he wasn't going to be back anytime soon.
It's a blow, because Vincent was a solid run-blocker, and a good bridge between rookie RT Jeff Otah and second-year C Ryan Kalil, helping the development of both.
No word on whether Jeremy Bridges or Geoff Hangartner will start in Vincent's place yet.
