Now that they know they've got the weekend off, the Panthers get to sit back an wait on an opponent.
As the second seed, they'll host either Minnesota or the winner of the Arizona-Atlanta game on either Jan. 10 or 11.
If sixth-seeded Philadelphia beats Minnesota, the Eagles would go to New York.
Honestly, the Vikings might be the best bet right now. Atlanta's the team nobody wants right now (they are the 2003 Panthers), and the Eagles are on a roll. If Arizona comes to Charlotte, the city fathers will pay to seed the clouds for snow.
But the best news is they get two weeks to recover. As beat up as their lines are right now, they need it.
