Apparently, sore-kneed Giants RB Brandon Jacobs wants to play against the Panthers.
According to the N.Y. Daily News' Giants blog, Jacobs said during an appearance Tuesday morning he was ready to go this weekend against Carolina.

"Yeah," he said. "I'm playing this weekend."
That's a complicating factor for the Panthers, who might be without NT Maake Kemoeatu. He suffered a right ankle sprain last week, and was on crutches when he left the stadium yesterday. While that's largely a precaution, if he misses the game it'll be that much tougher for the Panthers, because they can't replicate his ability to occupy doubles with the rest of the personnel on hand.
