The Panthers have made big running plays lately by following their blockers. DeAngelo Williams just made one by running away from them -- and everybody else.
Williams had nothing big running left, so he put his hand on FB Brad Hoover's back for balance, and cut back right, found a crease, and blew past the Broncos linebackers en route to a 56-yard touchdown run.
Denver's been playing eight in the box all day, hoping to slow the run. SS Marquand Manuel's practically playing defensive end, and by and large it was working.
Granted, they're throwing at will, with the Broncos running single-high safety and playing man with their corners on the Panthers receivers.
They're also defending well, despite dropping about four interceptions already, and they're up 27-10 in the third.
