Chudzinski to interview for OC

The Panthers have their first offensive coordinator candidate lined up for an interview, but it's someone who already knows coach Ron Rivera well.

San Diego assistant head coach/TEs Rob Chudzinski received permission to interview with the Panthers Wednesday, the same day he was talking to Miami about the Dolphins vacant OC job.

The 42-year-old is a respected offensive mind, and former player who could diversify the Panthers passing game.

He's been offensive coordinator in Cleveland (2007-08) as well as at the University of Miami (2001-03), where he played tight end on two national championship teams.

The Panthers are expected to interview other candidates as well, as they had researched a number of possibilities before deciding on Rivera as head coach.
