Giada De Laurentiis, a television chef and bestselling author, is expected to be in town today to report on Rock Hill schools' Back the Pack program, which sends hungry kids home with food for the weekend.
The Food Network star and "Today" show contributor was originally scheduled to visit India Hook Elementary to interview Principal Crystal Guyton and the parent of a student who has received food.
But now, no one seems to know when or where she'll drop by.
Once word about the visit spread, NBC asked to change venues to avoid a crowd of spectators surrounding the popular celebrity chef, Rock Hill schools spokeswoman Elaine Baker said.
"As of 5:30 (Monday), our district has not been notified of the itinerary for the visit by Giada," Baker said. "What we do know is that the NBC camera crew will arrive sometime tonight, and Giada may or may not be with them."
The people scheduled to be interviewed likely would find out when and where sometime today, she said.
A "Today" producer couldn't be reached for comment.
It's unclear whether the crew is filming a live segment for "Today" or taping for a later broadcast.
