Rain made ponchos and umbrellas mandatory for those participating in Saturday’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade, sponsored by the NAACP of the western York County.
The rain didn’t stop members from St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Sharon from showing their appreciation, or stop the music from the Eau Claire Marching Band, or the float from the city of York from participating. People watched from underneath storefront overhangs, or went inside businesses to view the parade.
