Winthrop University's 2009 Homecoming festivities, which have been taking place all this week, really kick into high gear today and Saturday, as alumni and others roll into town and onto campus to celebrate garnet and gold traditions.
Alumni are encouraged to register and indicate their intent to attend Homecoming online at winthropalumni.com. Information about the following events also is available at that Web site.

Garnet and Gold Friday -- Wear your Eagle colors all day.
1 p.m., Lois Rhame West Health, Physical Education and Wellness Center; fourth annual homecoming dodge ball tournament; prizes awarded to winning teams.

Athletic Hall of Fame Induction

Roaring Twenties Dance Lessons

Class of 1984 Check-In
9 p.m., McBryde Hall; join classmates and other members of the Winthrop family for the "Let the Good Times Roll" party to celebrate the class' 25th reunion.
Until 2 p.m., Winthrop Coliseum Parking Lots; bring your friends, your picnic baskets, your grills -- anything you need to create the ultimate tailgate experience. Parking is available in the order of entry into the lots; please see Winthrop tailgating policy for rules and regulations.
