CHESTER — A Chester woman died Wednesday night in a single car collision,officials said.
Carrie Amanda Roof, 18, of 1169 Radcliff Road, died of head and traumainjuries, Chester County Coroner Terry Tinker said.
Around 9:59 p.m., Roof drove a 1997 Nissan southalong Ridgeview Road about four miles west of Chester.
Roof ran off the left side of the road and went down an embankment, LanceCpl. Josef Robinson of the S.C. Highway Patrol said.

Roof, who did not wear a seat belt, was fully ejected from the car, Tinkersaid. She died at the scene, he said.
Four-year-old Michael Roof, Roof’s passenger, was transported with non-lifethreatening injuries to Chester Regional Medical Center. He was releasedaround 1 a.m. this morning, a hospital representative said.
The child was not restrained in a seat belt or car seat, Robinson said.
