SDL Atlas relocates U.S. HQ to Rock Hill

SDL Atlas, a textile testing equipment company, has relocated its U.S. headquarters to an office and warehouse complex in northwest Rock Hill near the airport.

The new headquarters at 3934 Airway Drive has more than 22,000 square feet and doubles the space of the former headquarters near Charlotte.

SDL Atlas is consolidating on-site its Textile Innovators division and also will house the division's fabric cutting, sewing, dyeing, splitting and washing services. Al Simpson of Lancaster is general manager, U.S. Operations.

The SDL Atlas Group of companies offers the largest range of textile testing products, supplies, consumables, and services available from a single source.

Grand opening today for Vintage Finds

Vintage Finds, an antique store at the Peoples Bank Building at 133 E. Main St., will have its grand opening today through Sunday.

The shop moved to downtown Rock Hill in June from Crossroads Mall off Carowinds Boulevard. It offers a mix of items from 10 or so antiques dealers, including furniture, glassware and china, clothes, books and tools. Owners are Jenny Hogan and Bell Mullis.

The grand opening includes prizes and sales.

Hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 1 to 6 p.m. Sundays. The phone number is 324-2430.

Fort Mil community breakfast Aug. 10

FORT MILL -- The 2007 Fort Mill State of the Community will be held Aug. 10 at St. John's United Methodist Church at 130 Tom Hall St.

Speakers will be York County Council Chairman Buddy Motz; Fort Mill Mayor Charles Powers; Fort Mill School District Board Chairwoman Martha Kinard; and York County Manager Jim Baker.

The event is sponsored by Piedmont Medical Center, South Carolina Bank & Trust of the Piedmont, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Comporium Communications, York County, Springs Insurance, and the Fort Mill Times.

Robert Renner joins Greiner dental practice

YORK -- Dr. Robert Renner has joined the dental practice of Dr. Gregory Greiner in York.

Renner is a cum laude graduate of Ohio State University and served his general practice residency at Palmetto Richland Hospital in Columbia. His continuing education includes dental implantology, management of TMD and esthetic treatment planning.

The practice will expand its hours to include Friday afternoons and has added sedation dentistry.
