Tour of homes today in Millwood, Roddey Park

The Herald and DR Horton are co-sponsoring a Tour of Homes today at the Roddey Park and Millwood Plantation developments. Admission is free.

Entertainment for children will be offered at both locations, including a petting zoo, pony rides and ice cream at Roddey Park and a bounce house, popcorn and beverages at Millwood Plantation.

The Roddey Park event will be from noon to 3 p.m. The Millwood Plantation event will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Roddey Park is located on Saluda Road near the Rock Hill Country Club. Millwood Plantation is off Herlong Avenue between India Hook Road and Ebenezer Road.

Stumpfwerks to open Internet store

CLOVER -- Crossland Cuisine, which designs, makes and markets reproduction Victorian art greeting cards and decorator items under the Stumpfwerks brand name, has announced the opening of its new Internet store, Stumpfwerks Victorian Reproductions at

Owner Karen Stumpf hopes to open a retail store soon, she said in a written statement.

The line includes greeting cards, note cards, invitations, coasters, serving trays, and décor plates.

Learn to start business at Expo of Entrepreneurs

York Technical College will host a fee workshop for people interested in starting a business Wednesday in room L100 of the Anne Springs Close Library.

Keynote speaker will be Tom Carlisle, vice president of operations for CG Technology Inc.

Hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. and 6:30 until 7:30 p.m.

The Expo of Entrepreneurs is part of a series funded by the Hughes/Coleman Foundations.

Taco Bueno to have ribbon-cutting Monday

Taco Bueno will hold a ribbon-cutting at 4:30 p.m. Monday at 1657 Cranium Drive.

Taco Bueno, a quick-serve Mexican restaurant, has another Rock Hill location on Cherry Road and one in Monroe, N.C.

Christina Fretz joins Cathy's Hair Fantasies

Christina Gail Fretz of Rock Hill has joined the staff of Cathy's Hair Fantasies in the Belleview Square shopping center at 1371 E. Main St.

Fretz has been licensed for 16 years and specializes in foil highlights. She cuts hair for men, women and children. She and her husband, Joey, have four children ages 1 to 13.
