The warm bread and hot coffee at Durango Bagel has returned just in time for cooler weather.

Durango Bagel is now open in a new location at 295 Herlong Ave. in Rock Hill. The popular bakery, formerly at the corner of Charlotte Avenue and North Street, is the latest business to join the shops at Millwood Plantation.

Owner Wayne Wingate said the new bakery boasts the same cozy atmosphere and tasty bagels, sandwiches and coffees. The new location, however, features a private dining room for small meetings, and Wingate said a drive-through window will open in November.

"That's a big deal in this business," he said. "We didn't want to move anywhere without a drive-through."

Wingate said a separate entrance from Herlong will be completed soon between the neighboring Loft 13 gift shop and Si's Pizzeria to relieve traffic congestion at the plaza.

Durango Bagel this week will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Beginning next week, the store will remain open until 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
