Three regional hospitals received ‘A’ grades from a national group that surveys hospitals for medical safety.
Piedmont Medical Center of Rock Hill, Springs Memorial Hospital of Lancaster and Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville, N.C., all received the top grade in the spring surveys. Chester Regional Medical Center was not rated.
The survey was administered by the Leapfrog Group which considers 28 measures of hospital safety in determining its grades.
