Hickory Tavern has created The Dab Burger, which contains an extra dab of mustard, and will sell it at the Rock Hill restaurant and other Charlotte area locations for $1.50 on Saturday.

The burger is “in honor of our favorite quarterback,” Cam Newton, according to a press release. The $1.50 price is because No. 1 (Newton’s number) is going to Super Bowl 50.

Hickory Tavern will sell the Dab Burger during a pre-party from 1- 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Dab is a dance in which the dancer simultaneously drops his or her head while raising an arm, briefly resting the face inside the elbow in a gesture that has been noted to resemble proper sneeze etiquette. It has caught the world by storm during Carolina’s playoff run and its quarterback’s MVP-worthy season in which he does the dance following his touchdowns.

More than 200 residents crowded Main Street on Saturday for a photo opportunity, striking the "dab" pose popularized by Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. A proclamation officially declared Saturday "Carolina Panthers Day."

Students at York Middle School "dabbed" at the command of their teachers on Monday, part of a week of events planned in advance of the Carolina Panthers' appearance at the Super Bowl. Other events included students writing fan letters and a raffle
