An early morning fire gutted an abandoned Rock Hill home, officials said.
Around 8:45, the Rock Hill Fire Department responded to a fire at 833 Orr Drive. Battalion Chief Steve Rogers said the department encountered heavy fire conditions.
“We had fire coming out of all the windows,” Rogers said about the 900-square foot home. “It also appeared to be coming out of a vent at the top (of the house).”
No one was in the house at the time of the fire, Rogers said.

The fire was contained within five to 10 minutes, Rogers said.
Officials have not determined where or how the fire started.
It was the second day in a row that an empty house burned in Rock Hill. On Monday, a house on Carolina Avenue Extension was hit by a fire.
