Three Fort Mill-area business robbed Friday night

FORT MILL -- A gloved bandit made off with money and two cash register drawers in one of three Friday night robberies, according to police reports.

Around 10:30 p.m., a man entered the Fairway BP at 1010 Carolina Place armed with a pistol and wearing a glove. He reached across the counter and grabbed two register tills, according to reports from the York County Sheriff's Office.

The man, who did not touch anything without his glove, wore a black hoodie, white undershirt and blue jeans and a white cloth mask, the report states. He fled in a gray or silver Cadillac, according to the report.

In another robbery around 9:45 p.m., a man entered Cracker Barrel at 295 Carowinds Blvd., where he purchased candy from the store. When the clerk opened the register, the man pulled out a pistol, demanded money and grabbed all of the $20 bills from the register, the report states.

The man fled toward the state line on a bicycle, according to the report.

In still another robbery, a man armed with a silver revolver went behind the counter at Tienda La Sirenita Productos Latinos on U.S. 21 around 6:20 p.m. He took the clerk's purse and $250 from the register. The report states he used his shirt to grab everything he touched before he fled.

The man, whose face was covered, wore a black T-shirt with a white T-shirt underneath and black jeans.

Investigators couldn't be reached Saturday. Reports do not say whether police believe the three robberies were related.
