Clover Middle School gets new principal

CLOVER -- Former Assistant Principal Kathy Weathers was promoted to principal of Clover Middle School on Thursday by the Clover school board.

She replaces Will Largen, who was assigned as principal of Crowders Creek Middle School in June.

Weathers was the school's assistant principal for the 2006-2007 year and Clover Junior High's assistant principal from 2003 to 2006. She came to the district in 1999 as curriculum coordinator, working out of Clover Middle School. She has 18 years of teaching experience, including stints in the Fort Mill and York school districts.

Weathers joins Bethel Elementary's Tom Guinane and Clover Junior High's Mark Hopkins as new principals in the district.

Chester High class of '72 to meet Saturday

CHESTER -- The Chester High School class of 1972 will meet at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Chester County Library, 100 Center St.

The 35th class reunion will be held July 27. Reunion fees are due the day of the meeting.
