A Chester County woman died Tuesday night in a single car collision, officials said.
Ann Marie English, 42, of 3863 Appaloosa Ridge Road in Richburg, died of head trauma, said Chester County Coroner Terry Tinker. Around 11 p.m. Tuesday, English was driving a 1999 Toyota north along Hunter Road and secondary S.C. 503, about 12.5 miles east of Chester, when the car went off the left side of the road, striking a ditch and a tree, said Lance Cpl. Josef Robinson of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
English, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car. She died at the scene, Robinson said. English was driving an estimated speed of 50 mph in a 35 mph, Robinson said.
Toxicology test are pending, he said. English of New York was an associate manager with Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Lancaster.
