Delivery man choked, robbed of pizza, wallet

A 16-year-old juvenile and an 18-year-old man were being held Sunday night by Rock Hill Police after a Domino's Pizza delivery man said he was attacked and robbed while making a delivery.

Dequavis Blackmon, 18, of Rock Hill and the juvenile were being held Sunday on charges of assault and battery with intent to kill, armed robbery and criminal conspiracy, according to Rock Hill Police Sgt. K.V. Tripp.

The Domino's employee was making a delivery in the 1100 block of Castle Street at about 2:45 p.m., but no one answered the door, Tripp said. As he walked down the steps to return to his car, one man came down the steps, and another around from behind the house.

The victim told police the men put a shirt around his head and neck and choked him as they dragged him to the ground. They took both the pizza and his wallet.

Blackmon and the juvenile were arrested about 10 minutes later, Tripp said.
