Grant to help efforts for free medical clinics

The Early Learning Partnership of York County has received a $85,930 grant to help their efforts to provide free medical clinics for uninsured and underinsured children countywide.

The responsive grant is one of 13 issued by The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina to nonprofit and faith-based organizations statewide. The grants, which totaled $752,860, are designed to address the root causes of poverty.

Early Learning is a nonprofit corporation organized to develop and promote programs supporting the health and academic readiness of countywide children ages 6 and younger. The entity supports four Family Resource Centers with medical clinics for uninsured children. The clinics are operated by countywide school districts and Rock Hill Pediatrics.
