After 3rd exposure charge, driving instructor issued $10,000 bond, with restrictions If released, former highway patrolman would have to get phone, stay away from women under 21

FORT MILL -- A former York County driving instructor charged with indecent exposure was issued a new $10,000 bond Wednesday and given several restrictions.

David Wayne Zitcovich, 59, a Behind The Wheel Driving Academy instructor, must provide a telephone number within 48 hours of posting bond and maintain that number, Municipal Judge Peter Lenzi said during a bond hearing Wednesday in Fort Mill.

Lenzi also said Zitcovich cannot have contact with any female under 21 who is not related by blood or marriage, Lenzi said. The bond hearing resulted from Zitcovich being charged for the third time with indecent exposure. In the most recent charge, a 15-year-old Fort Mill teen told police Zitcovich exposed himself to her during driving lessons. A Rock Hill teen and a Tega Cay teen also told police that Zitcovich exposed himself during their driving lessons.

Zitcovich, whose total bond is $23,125 on the indecent exposure charges and an unrelated criminal domestic violence charge, remained in custody Wednesday at York County Detention Center..
