Bill Clinton to speak Monday

A rally featuring former President Bill Clinton for his wife Hillary's presidential campaign is expected to start at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the Freedom Center at 215 E. Main St.

The rally, "Ready for Change, Ready to Lead," is one of two being conducted by Bill Clinton in South Carolina on Monday. He plans to speak in Spartanburg at 12:30 p.m.

Doors at the Freedom Center are expected to open at 4:30 p.m., according to an advisory from the Hillary Clinton campaign.

No tickets are required at the event that is open to the public, said center director Willie Lyles, who expects a capacity crowd of about 1,000 people.

Other candidates who have appeared in Rock Hill include Republicans Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee and Democrats Obama, Bill Richardson and Joe Biden.

Democratic candidate John Edwards plans to visit Rock Hill on Friday afternoon. A location has not been finalized.
