Police expect charges in porn DVD case

CHESTER -- A 37-year-old Chester man is expected to be charged with selling pornographic DVDs that show women having sex with dogs, ponies, horses and pigs, according the Chester County Sheriff's Office.

The man's name has not been released because he has not been arrested, said Detective Scott Thompson of the Sheriff's Office. The investigation is ongoing, however, and officials expect to make an arrest at the end of next week, he said.

"It's not against the law to possess this, unless it's child pornography," he said. "It is against the law to be out in the community selling it."

The man's house, on the outskirts of Chester, was searched Nov. 26, Thompson said.

More than 1,500 pornographic DVDs were found during the search, he said.

Police do not know where the women seen on the DVDs live, Thompson said. Authorities also do not know if the man had a hand in producing the DVDs.

In addition, police seized the man's computer, more than 150 counterfeit CDs containing music, 1,300 DVDs of newly released movies and a small amount of marijuana, Thompson said.

Along with the charges related to the sexually explicit DVDs, the man faces multiple trademark violations as well as charges of selling counterfeit DVDs, Thompson said.

Officials said no warrants for the man's arrest have been issued.
