5 from Chester arrested in Rock Hill robbery

Authorities have arrested five Chester men for their suspected role in a local robbery.

Charged with armed robbery and conspiracy on Tuesday were Desmond Bland, 18, of 123 Jeter St.; Robert Chisholm, 18, of 107 Lowery St.; and Bernard Crank, 18, of 186 1/2 Ligon St., according to Rock Hill Police reports.

On Monday, police charged 21-year-old Antonio Price of 133 Mill St. with possession of a pistol during a violent crime; possession of a stolen pistol; armed robbery; possession of marijuana and conspiracy, the reports state.

Demario Sanders, 18, of 529 Johnson St. also was charged with armed robbery, possession of a pistol under 21, conspiracy and possession of a pistol during a violent crime.

The charges stem from an armed robbery that happened Monday near an apartment complex at 2361 Eden Terrace in Rock Hill. Two men armed with pistols took $50 and a debit card from a 32-year-old man, according to police reports. The men fled and were seen in a Crown Victoria, which authorities stopped on Anderson Road. Police discovered a gun in the trunk and two others inside the car, the report states.

A judge set bond at $38,000 for Sanders and $40,000 for Price. Bond was set at $30,000 for Chisholm and $35,00O for Crank and Bland. The men remained in custody Tuesday at the York County Detention Center.
