When Rock Hill property manager Kim Smith went into labor last March, she missed the end of that day's "Rachael Ray Show" on TV.
So Smith wrote to the show asking for a copy of the tape to put in a keepsake box for her son Dalton, now almost a year old. She thought it would be a fun thing to have as a reminder of when Dalton was born.
Smith never got a copy of the tape, but today she is in New York City filming an episode of the show with her two sons, and of course, Rachael Ray.
"I figure this will definitely be a better keepsake than the other one," she said.

Representatives from the show called Smith about a week ago. At first they were going to come shoot the segment here, but then they called back to say they would fly Smith and her children up to New York.
Son's a big fan
Smith's older son, Michael, 13, loves Ray's cooking and got his mom hooked on the show.
Smith said she didn't know much about what she would be doing once she got to the set but that she was very excited about the trip.
"I've got all those emotions rolled into one," she said. "I haven't had a lot of time to be nervous so I hope I don't freeze up when the camera comes on."
Smith's stepmother, Ruby Smith, is one of many people who will be watching the show back home. The episode Kim Smith is taping today likely will air next week, she said.
"We're all really excited," Ruby Smith said. "It's going to be wild."
"The Rachael Ray Show" airs locally at 9 a.m. weekdays on Charlotte's WBTV, cable Channel 5.
