FORT MILL -- Police say children or teenagers may be responsible for vandalizing two unoccupied Fort Mill houses scheduled for relocation.
No one has been arrested in the incident that occurred within the past nine days at 2121 White's Road, Fort Mill Police Capt. Bryan Zachary said.
The vandals, who used an unknown object to put holes in the walls, also destroyed fixtures and shattered all the windows, Zachary said.
The homes, which were on metal beams in preparation for relocation, were marred with "random scribblings and writings," Zachary said.

"Based on the type of damage that was done, we're looking for children or teenagers," he said. "This is by far the most significant damage to a dwelling that we've seen in years."
Combined damage is estimated at $60,000, Zachary said. Officials believe the homes are not insured.
