Man breaks into home, puts teen in pantry

FORT MILL -- Police are looking for a man who broke into a Fort Mill home around 11:30 a.m. Friday.

The 15-year-old girl home at the time told police the man kicked in the door between the garage and kitchen after no one answered the front door when he knocked. The girl confronted the burglar and tried to escape. He grabbed and hit her and made her show him where her parents kept their jewelry, according to the report. The burglar then stuffed the girl in the pantry, and told her he would stab her if she tried to escape, the report stated.

A man who was cutting grass outside told officers he didn't see or hear anything while the robbery was happening, the report stated. The home's address was not released by police.
