Local marching bands shine

Northwestern High School's marching band brought home its first ever state championship Saturday.

"It's been just a great season for us," said band director Larry Wells. "I'm just ecstatic for the kids. We're still trying to take it all in."

It wasn't the first for the Wells family. Eric Wells, Larry's son, led the Clover band to last year's title.
