A police report was filed after a sword was broken out of the hand of a Trojan statue on the campus of Northwestern High School in Rock Hill.
School officials estimate the statue of the school mascot suffered $1,000 in damage from the incident last week, according to the report released Monday.
Security cameras at the school reportedly captured three unidentified men approach the statue and use a hammer to break the sword out of the statue’s hand. The vandals then reportedly left the sword behind next to the Trojan after it was broken off.
Officers are attempting to identify the men seen in the footage.
