$1M lottery ticket sold in Chester; winner unknown

Someone bought a lottery ticket in Chester that is now worth $1 million.

The Kushi Food Mart, 895 J.A. Cochran Bypass, sold the ticket for Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing. It matched the five numbers – 12, 24, 35, 36 and 49 – but did not match the Powerball jackpot number, lottery officials said.

The winner has 180 days to claim the prize.

The $1 million winner is the second in South Carolina this week, and the top Powerball jackpot has jumped to an estimated $289 million.
