3 arrested after fight in Rock Hill roadway

Two women and a juvenile were arrested Wednesday after police responded to multiple people fighting in the roadway on Eighth Street off Albright Road.

The 19-year-old and 17-year-old women were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct over the fight, while an unnamed juvenile girl was also detained, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Officers found multiple people in the roadway fighting around 7 p.m. The women and girl were deemed to be the primary combatants and detained. The fight apparently started because of a “rivalry” between the 17-year-old and the younger girl, police were told, but investigators were unable to determine if any of the other individuals present were involved.

The older women were transported to the Rock Hill Law Center, while the younger girl was released to her mother.
