An man driving an SUV crashed into a Rock Hill law firm Wednesday night after a possible overdose, according to Rock Hill police.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. at the Schiller & Hamilton law firm at the corner of Constitution Boulevard and Herlong Avenue.
Joel Hamilton, partner of the Schiller & Hamilton firm, said it was a “shock” to arrive back at his office and find the SUV crashed into the building.
The building sustained structural damage that has to be repaired, Hamilton said, but no one was inside at the time of the crash.

The car crashed into the same side of the building as Hamilton’s office. He had gone home earlier and was on his way back to the office when the crash happened.
“If I was in there, the debris would have been knocked right on me,” Hamilton said.
But Hamilton said he was more concerned with the driver of the SUV, who had to be extricated from the vehicle.
The driver, a man, 27, whose name was not released, was transported to Piedmont Medical Center less than a block away with “critical injuries,” said Capt. Mark Bollinger, spokesman for the Rock Hill Police Department.
The man was transported for a possible overdose as well as the collision injuries, according to a Rock Hill police report.
Witnesses said the man was slurring his words and seemed dazed, the report says.
The crash remains under investigation, Bollinger said.
