A long-time South Carolina state representative for Chester and York counties has announced he won’t be seeking re-election in 2018.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Greg Delleney, R-Chester, made the announcement Tuesday in a statement to The Chester News and Reporter.
“It is with a heart full of gratitude and a measure of sadness that I wish to say thank you to the citizens of Chester and York Counties for all you have done for and meant to me over the last 27 years,” Delleney told the Chester News and Reporter.
Delleney is the sole resident legislator for Chester County and has served in the S.C. House of Representatives since 1991.
