Local travel and tourism industry leaders welcomed motorists Friday during “Grits Stop,” held annually at the South Carolina Welcome Center on Interstate 77 in Fort Mill.

Travelers were offered a hearty bowl of grits, as well as an array of food items with stone ground grits being the featured dish. Locally grown strawberries were served, and costumed interpreters and performers from local attractions took part.

“Grits Stop” is a partnership of the Olde English District Tourism Commission, Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism, Rock Hill/York County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and S.C. Parks, Recreation & Tourism.
