Former NFL player Ko Simpson of Rock Hill to hold free football camp

Former NFL and University of South Carolina standout Ko Simpson, a Rock Hill native, will hold a free football clinic for children ages 3-14 on Dec. 5 at Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill.

Simpson, 31, who played for the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions, starred at Rock Hill High School before going on to a career in professional football. He is an assistant coach at Rock Hill High now and is continuing his education at USC.

The clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. on Dec. 5 is his first venture as a franchise holder for N Zone Sports, a national youth sports program for boys and girls. Simpson plans to have programs including cheerleading and flag football starting in early 2016.

The clinic is free, Simpson said. Plans are being set for spring leagues.
