Passenger in Great Falls car wreck dies from injuries

A passenger in a Friday evening wreck near Great Falls died Saturday, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The identity of the passenger was not released by the highway patrol.

According to the highway patrol, the driver of a 2004 Pontiac went off the right side of SC901 about five miles south of Great Falls. The driver, Dakota Campbell, 21, struck a fence and then a power pole.

He was wearing a seat belt and not injured, according to the highway patrol.

The victim died from injuries she sustained at about 8:45 a.m. Saturday. She had been taken to Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, according to the highway patrol.
