UPDATE: Fire that displaced 9 caused estimated $60,000 in damage to house near downtown Rock Hill

A fire at a home just west of downtown Rock Hill displaced nine people Sunday morning, including seven children.

The fire was reported at 115 Allen St. around 2:40 a.m., according to Rock Hill Fire Department Deputy Chief Mark Simmons. No injuries were reported, Simmons said. The fire caused an estimated $60,000 in damage Simmons said late Sunday.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
