‘My whole life changed’: A Lancaster lottery ticket won someone five figures
It’s a three-letter word for bringing in a load of cash — win.
According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, a Lancaster player won $75,000 in a crossword style ticket game. The woman won the final top prize in the $3 Crossword Bonus Cash scratch off game. She chose not to be identified, according to the lottery.
“I kept checking it over and over again,” the woman told lotter officials.
The ticket came from 903 Discount Beverage on Chesterfield Avenue in Lancaster. The winner uncovered 11 words. The odds of that win are 1 in 600,000.
“My whole life changed,” the winner told lottery officials.
The store gets a $750 commission for selling the winning ticket.
