Lois Whitesides Davidson

Mrs. Davidson, 79, of Clover, passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at Park Pointe Village in Rock Hill, surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 27, 1930, to the late Thomas Augustus Whitesides and Helen Biggers Whitesides. She graduated from Winthrop College with a B.S. in Education. She taught elementary school for a number of years before becoming a homemaker. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother who served her family and others selflessly. She enjoyed sewing, baking and playing the piano. She was a long-time member of Bethany ARP Church.

Mrs. Davidson is survived by her husband of 44 years, Garland T. Davidson Jr.; her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas G. and Mona Davidson; her daughter and son-in-law, Sara D. and Joseph Janzen; and her grandchildren, Nathan Davidson and Grace and Patrick Janzen. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Dennis Whitesides.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lois Davidson was held Dec. 28, 2009, at Bethany ARP Church, with burial at Bethany ARP Church Cemetery.

Bratton Funeral Home in York, S.C., served the Davidson family.
