York man arrested on drug charges in Fort Mill

Fort Mill Police arrested a York man in possession of several individually wrapped packages of illegal drugs on April 14, according to a Fort Mill Police Department report.

Officers stopped a white Toyota for a traffic violation around 9 p.m. on April 14 near the intersection of Old Nation Road and Springfield Parkway, the report states. After receiving permission to search the car, officers discovered the backseat passenger had seven bags of marijuana in his possession and a bag containing 20 pills of a controlled prescription medication, the report states. Ryan Brandon Ostrowski, 22, of 1753 Davis Farm Road, York, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, the report states.

A second passenger was charged with possession of beer by a minor. The car’s driver was not charged.
