This December, The Coal Yard Restaurant and Lounge in York has new hours from 11 to 11 p.m. every day of the week, including Sunday, serving a full menu and a full bar.
The family-friendly place has four new flat-screen TVs for a sports-viewing experience.
The restaurant and lounge was opened by Joe Forlines in July of 1981. In 2005, his daughter Jessica Dunlap bought the business from him and five years later she entered into a partnership with a friend, Justin Kalwiet, and his mother Garnett.
The establishment has a 24-by-24-foot covered deck to use in good weather, and the walls are adorned with local artwork for sale, with the commission from the sales going to charity.
