Clover to celebrate Irish heritage

The Town of Clover, the Clover Ulster American Society and Clover Public Library will be celebrating the area’s Irish heritage through a series of special events during September.

During the Irish Heritage Appreciation Month, the library will have a special exhibit of books and other objects that are related to Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Preschool Story Time, held 10:30 a.m. each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for ages 3 to 5, will feature Irish themes as well.

At 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, a musical event featuring Whippoorwill, a local Celtic trio, will be presented. Bring your chair; the performance will be given outside the library.

At 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, the Pendergrass Family Trio will perform inside the library at 6 p.m.

All the events will be held at the Clover Public Library, 107 Knox St., and are free and open to the public.
