A customer has accused a Lowe’s Home Improvement employee of assaulting him during an argument, according to a York Police report. But the employee says the customer harassed him and provoked him.
The report states on Nov. 28 the 63-year-old male customer argued with the 35-year-old employee over the location of a box of screws. The customer told police that the clerk tried to punch him and had to be restrained by other workers, according to the report.
But when police questioned the clerk and other witnesses, they said the customer called the clerk sexually explicit names and used profanities. They said the suspect moved towards the customer but never touched him, the report states.
Police did not file any charges.
