York woman reports valuables stolen

A York woman has reported that valuables have been stolen from her home, perhaps during an open house over the Christmas holiday.

The woman, owner of a home at 219 E. Liberty St., told police on Feb. 1 that she noticed jewelry and memorabilia items were missing from her home, the report states.

The missing items are valued at $5,000 and include a blue sapphire bracelet, diamond earrings, a baseball bat autographed by Atlanta Braves star Chipper Jones and various tools.

The woman told police she is just now reporting the missing items because she previously didn’t know they were missing.
