Money stolen from York car dealership

More than $7,000 was stolen from a York car dealership's lock box, police say.

A man with Affordable Auto Sales on Liberty Street said an estimated $7,311.75 was stolen in January from the business's lock box, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report. Throughout January, several deposits of more than $1,000 had been made.

However, when he checked the box Jan. 20, only about $600 was inside, the report states.
