A York couple were arrested last week after arguing over an engagement ring, according to a York Police report.

Police were called to a home off Eighth Street in York on Feb. 24 because of a couple fighting in the yard. Police determined the man, 20, had pushed the woman to the ground, the report states. And the woman, according to the report, had slapped the man in the face.

The woman, 19, told police the argument started when she found out her boyfriend planned to give her engagement ring to another woman. Police charged both people with criminal domestic violence.
