Northwestern nudges Cougars in baseball

The York Comprehensive High School baseball team pushed Northwestern to the limit before bowing 2-1 in a closely-contested game Saturday in Trojan Country.

“It was a well-pitched and well-played game, YCHS head coach Scot Kiggans said of the nail-biter. “There were eight total hits in the entire game.”

The Cougars sent seven pitchers to the mound, one per inning. Keith Davis hit a solo homer.
